I am a street photographer and photography tutor. I use Leica M6 and Nikon Df and FM2 to document the people on the streets and public transport of London. I shoot almost exclusively 'from the hip' rather than interacting directly with my subjects, as I find that this approach, for me at least, yields more intimate, possibly honest results. But this is an age old debate. I try to shoot with empathy and honesty.
